I bring the tools and the space; you bring the knowledge of your own life.
Who I am
Ko Juciele Stander tōku ingoa.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: you are the expert in your own life. You know your story, your strengths, your challenges, and what matters most to you. My role is not to “fix” or direct you, but to walk alongside you, offering professional support, structure, and evidence-based tools that help you make sense of your experiences and move toward the changes you want.
Healing and growth are not linear, and there is no one “right” way forward — only the path that feels right for you.
What I Bring
I am a qualified and registered Alcohol and Other Drug Clinician with 9 years’ experience across residential, community, prison and clinical settings. I support people to explore their experiences, values and goals at their own pace, while offering professional guidance in assessment, treatment planning, counselling and group work. My practice is grounded in hope — holding the belief that meaningful change is possible, even when things feel stuck or overwhelming.
As an independent contractor, I offer flexibility, professionalism and a strong track record of delivering high-quality addiction services. I work confidently and respectfully with people from all walks of life, across ages, cultures, ethnicities, and identities.
As a clinical supervisor, I see supervision as a privilege and a partnership. Supervision is a space to slow down, reflect, ask hard questions, celebrate growth, and strengthen wellbeing. I aim to create a safe, supportive environment where practitioners feel grounded, supported, and confident in their mahi.
My Approach in Practice
You remain in the driver’s seat.
I offer:
curiosity, not judgement
guidance, not instruction
collaboration, not hierarchy
Together, we build understanding, skills, and confidence — in a way that honours your autonomy, culture, and lived experience.
